Internships

Summer interns have an opportunity to actively participate in meaningful projects and assignments in one of the following areas: Buying, Planning, Marketing, Loss Prevention, Accounting and Finance. In addition to carrying out their individual duties, interns attend weekly leadership training and tour multiple areas of the business. Leadership training includes team building, conflict management, personal strength evaluation, and excel training. Tours take interns through in-store visits, distribution center, and the loss prevention’s live observation control center (LOCC). Interns are also divided into smaller groups to focus on special issues to add value to the company and present to executives and mentors at the end of the program. This is a 10 week program located in our corporate office in Bradenton, Florida.

Morgan Sandoval Morgan is majoring in Retail Management with a minor in Communications at Florida State University. As a Plus and Maternity Buying Intern at Bealls, she loves learning all the different "behind-the-scenes" actions of the corporate office and seeing how a company is run efficiently and effectively. "I love sitting in on vendor appointments and seeing how my mentor negotiates prices, puts together clothing items, chooses what's best for the customer, and builds relationships with her vendors."	Catherine Enright Catherine is majoring in Business Administration and Marketing while also pursuing a minor in Retail Studies. As a Buying intern, she loves learning what it takes to make a successful retailer. "It is so interesting to see how the customers respond to the clothing purchased from the decisions made by my mentor and me."
William Mitchell William has a degree in Supply Chain Management from Auburn University. As a Planning intern, he loves working with his mentor on projects with his mentor and being exposed to many different areas of the business. "Being engaged every day has been an ideal experience to transition from college to the working world."	Kyle Trepanier Kyle is an Accounting major at the University of Central Florida. As an Internal Audit intern, he loves working with the entire auditing team and Bealls family. "I love learning new things and being challenged by Bealls every day. Never a boring moment."
Emily Lowman Emily is double-majoring in Business Administration and Marketing, as well as double-minoring in Mass Communications and Retailing at the University of Florida. As a Marketing and eCommerce intern, she enjoys constantly getting to try her hand in different areas of the business. "Every day is different, whether its working on private label brands, creating posts for social media, or working on templates for the website."	Max Martinez Max is an Accounting major at the University of Central Florida. As an Inventory Control intern, he loves having the opportunity to implement the skills he's learned over the years in addition to lessons he's picked up through his experience to operate as an efficient part of the Bealls team. "I get the privilege of collaborating with talented people and participating both on and behind the scenes of ensuring a smooth inventory process."
Mirjam Lepp Mirjam is majoring in Marketing and Media Communication Studies at Florida State University. As a Marketing intern, she loves getting to participate in focus group studies, traveling to promotional events, and managing social media to enhance company presence. "This isn't a program that sticks you into busy work... this internship has kept me on my toes by giving me a wide range of opportunities in order to learn where I could maximize my contribution."	Michael Merani Michael is a Criminology major at the University of South Florida and working as a Loss Prevention intern. "I was able to learn things that I would have never learned in the classroom or books. This is also an experience that allows me to apply my class lessons to work situations during the internship."
Brittany Burrows Brittany is Finance major at the University of Florida. As a Finance intern, she loves being assigned tasks that directly benefit the company as a whole. "All the employees were welcoming and helpful for any questions I had. Bealls is a bright and exciting company and I'm so glad I was able to experience this internship."
